I also linked Vudu to UV.Īnyway, using the Vudu app on the PS3 downstairs, and Flixster (also linked to our UV locker) on an Amazon Firestick** in the bedroom, but I've love to have a totally unified experience, so I'm super hopeful one of the UltraViolet partners will build an app for the new ATV App Store, and that will put all our media in one place. FWIW, you can go HD (BD) to HDX/digital for $2/each.

Pretty cool, setup your account, download the app, you stick the DVD in the drive, it reads some meta-data, confirms eligibility for the disc, then you can go HDX, or SD. Flixster, the 1 movie discovery application, now lets you stream movies and TV shows from the cloud with UltraViolet the new industry standard that enables. If you convert 10 or more DVDs, they're only $2.50/each to go to 1080p HD couldn't pass that up, had a ton of outstanding movies on SD (DVD), and I've been wanting to clear out our older SD media. Don't understand why my vudu, Flixster, and UV accounts don't always align.
Never was a problem because I normally watch my movies through flixster, but today I am missing out on an offer. I have all of these accounts synced - but they don't all sync. Earlier this year, Flixster removed UltraViolet playback from their main apps on Android and iOS in order to release ‘Flixster Video’ apps which were dedicated apps for UltraViolet playback. Yeah, I've been getting iTunes and DMA (to keep movies in the same place/device/UI), but I found out about the disc-to-digital service through Vudu (most UV partners offer something like this). Warner Bros.-owned social networking slash film service Flixster is now available on the Xbox 360, bringing with it the Rotten Tomatoes rating aggregation service and UltraViolet cloud integration. Account Sync Up Vudu, Flixster, UltraViolet. The Flixster app has now dropped UltraViolet support on the Fire TV, as well as Fire tablets, all together.
